Safe Management Group Inc. was formed when two Canadian and Ontario based staff training products in Prevention and Management of Physical Aggression were merged. The two products were curricula developed by Pryor, Linder and Associates and the Performance Diagnostics Group.

The two companies have been offering cutting edge services in Education and Clinical Psychology as well as Behavioural and Physical Intervention staff training services for over 20 years.

Safe Management Group Inc. has ready access to consultative services of clinical psychologists, therapists and other specialists.

 

Pryor

Dr. Colin Pryor, C. Psych.‚ President

Dr. Colin Pryor received his Ph.D. in 1975 from Nottingham University, England, in Clinical Child Psychology.  Dr. Pryor is a Registered Psychologist and a member of the Canadian Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology (CRHSPP).  He is also a Clinical Psychologist with the NHS, U.K. and a qualified Educational Psychologist in the United Kingdom.  He is the Senior Partner with Pryor, Linder and Associates and President of Safe Management Group Inc.

Dr. Pryor has been an Associate Faculty Member to the Department of Psychiatry, McMaster University.  Past duties and responsibilities have included Chief Psychologist for the Board of Education for the City of Hamilton, Senior Program Director, Oakland’s Regional Centre, Oakville, Director of Behaviour Management and Parent Education Programs with the Sudbury and District Association for the Mentally Retarded and Consultant and Registered Psychologist, Surrey Place Centre, Toronto.

Current and past research interests have included children’s play therapy, school community disciplinary code design and development, family based behavioural management for children with developmental disabilities and research in standardized child behaviour checklists.

Dr. Bruce A. Linder, Ph.D., C. Psych.‚ BCBA-D, Vice President

Dr. Linder received his Ph.D. in 1985 from McMaster University in Experimental Psychology (Developmental). He interned at the Behavioural Medicine Unit at St. Joseph’s Healthcare in Hamilton, Ontario and at the Hamilton Board of Education in 1984-1986. He registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario in 1986, is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst – Doctoral level and is a member of the Canadian Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology (CRHSPP). He co-founded the private practice of Pryor, Linder and Associates in Oakville with Dr. Colin Pryor in 1985. Dr. Linder is a Vice-President with Safe Management Group Inc.

Dr. Linder’s designated area of specialization is rehabilitation psychology. He is currently Clinical Director at Brain Injury Services of Hamilton, consulting behavioural psychologist to the Central West Specialized Developmental Services in Oakville and consulting psychologist to a number of school boards. He has in the past provided behaviour psychological consultation to the Acquired Brain Injury Program at CMHS of St. Joseph’s Healthcare, Hamilton and the Hamilton Psychiatric Hospital. He is also Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology, McMaster University.

Current and past research interests have included program evaluations of school-based violence prevention programs, individualized and group remedial educational programs with learning disabled children, conflict resolution training with adults with acquired brain injury, cognitive behavioural therapy groups in anger management, depression and substance abuse among adults with acquired brain injuries, determinants of quality of life for community-integrated adults with acquired brain injuries, and caregiver styles among service providers for developmentally disabled adults.

Brandie

Brandie Stevenson, C. Psych Associate (Supervised Practice)‚  Director of Operations

Graduated with Masters of Forensic Psychology; Applied Forensic Services in 2008 and has worked in the field of sexuality and forensics since 1997. Brandie is a member in good standing of the Ontario Association of Consultants, Counsellors, Psychometrists and Psychotherapists (OACCPP), Ontario Association for Applied Behaviour Analysis (ONTABA), Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers (ATSA). She has dedicated her clinical work and research in the area of sexuality and high risk behaviours with special need populations and is committed to the education and training of direct-care staff, family members and individuals in the area of sexuality. Brandie provides clinical consultation, assessment and treatment to a range of community services and individuals across Ontario. She works with children, youth and adults who have been victims of sexual abuse, sexual offenders and other high risk behaviours. Brandie is proficient in Applied Behaviour Analysis and Risk Management Principles. Brandie is also a partner with Safe Management Group Inc. which provides staff training in crisis management and workplace violence and harassment.
